ABOUT

Jill Lydia’s

Established in 2010, Jill Lydia’s is a shop created around Jill’s passion of collecting china. Burleigh’s designs date back to 1851. After collecting for 30 years and a visit to Stoke-on-Trent factory in England (2009) Jill realized that only a small fraction of an exceptional range of Burleigh was available in New Zealand. Now 2020 and patterns and colourways continue to be discontinued and new patterns introduced. This December blue hibiscus will be available in the 10 pieces released. Thank you to our global customers who seek us out for those discontinued patterns.

In 2012 we also introduced the beautiful and colourful Heron Cross which is also from Stoke-on-Trent and was established in 1876. We know many customers have been awaiting to see our full range which is over 400 different products including teapots, comports, butter dishes sandwich plates, coffee mugs and jugs including tankards from 1/8 pint to 4 pints and then the dutch jugs from small to extra large, mostly in flower patterns including Roses, Lilly-of-the-Valley, forget-me-nots, Poppies, Daisies and also the William Morris Designs which are in Red, Black, Green designs including Flora and Strawberry Thief.

Our Wedgwood range continues to include those special boxed teacups, teapots and plates, a very special present to oneself or for someone special.

“Each piece is made with care and pride and the skills of generations”

In 2018 we included Polishware which is another hands on process, a skill passed on through the generations. Colours of blues and reds predominantly, but check out the range of products that will fit in with any other collections.

As previously there are handmade/designed products by Jill Lydia in felt and cotton fabrics. Any size felted blanket can be made to order and Winnie Plum’s baby rug was admired by many who follow us on Facebook and Instagram.

Our extensive range is now beautifully displayed in our new shop which is a delight in it’s country setting amongst trees and flowers. We are only 5 minutes from Taumarunui’s township.
