Heron Cross Pottery was built circa 1876 by the Hines brothers. The factory still produces fine earthenware pottery using traditional skills passed down through generations of skilled potters.
The company has been in the Ridge family since 1961 and the process of ceramic transfers or lighographs are applied by hand following the previous kiln firing at 1145 deg Celsius. Jill Lydia’s has an exceptional range of patterns and designs including 5 William Morris designs.
The pottery is also in Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom.
